About the Institute
ACCT’s Spring 2023 Governance Leadership Institute (GLI) will provide in-person training and team building for the board chair, vice chair, CEO of the college, and those who aspire to such leadership roles.
Interactive workshops and facilitated discussions will focus on strengthening the leadership team and enhancing their ability to govern effectively together. Topics include: the role of the board chair, how to build a strong relationship between the CEO and the board, succession planning for the board, the chair's role during a crisis, and others.

Who Should Attend This Institute?

ACCT recommends that the board chair, vice chair, and college CEO attend this Institute as a team. In addition to those currently in formal leadership roles, trustees with all levels of experience are invited to attend in order to deepen their understanding of good governance practices and prepare for leadership positions in the future.
